Scothorn Farms Ltd. operates a U-Pick and Wholesale Christmas tree business located in Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are growers of the aromatic Nova Scotian balsam fir, the scent you remember from those Christmas's long ago.
Over 180 acres, approximately 100,000, beautifully sheared trees to choose from in our U-pick! Come select and cut your own this Holiday Season.

Our trees are environmentally friendly. We have a variety of wildlife (rabbits, bees, deer, raccoons and skunks to name a few) that make their home in and around the tree lot. We have 180 acres with approximately 260,000 trees, from seedlings to 15 feet tall. Every acre of trees produces enough oxygen for 18 people per day. Our tree lot sustains life for 3240 people! Every tree that is cut in the fall is replaced with natural regrowth or transplants.
Scothorn Farms is conveniently located in close proximity (50km) to one of the leading ports on the eastern seaboard (Port of Halifax), with shipments going to Caribbean, Eastern US, South America and across Canada.
Our U-Pick tree lot is located approximately 50km (45 minute drive) from downtown Halifax. Our U-Pick is an excellent place to bring the family for an afternoon of Christmas cheer!
